Emergency services were called to Chorlton Water Park at around 8am today following reports of a body in the water. Police said the body was identified as a man.
'In-depth enquiries' will need to be carried out to identify him. His death is believed to be non-suspicious at this stage.An area of the park, which is popular with families and dog walkers, remains cordoned off by officers this morning. In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "GMP have attended Chorlton Water Park just after 8am this morning to reports of a body in the water.
"The body has been recovered and identified to be that of a man, although in depth enquiries are still to be done to determine the man’s identity. "The death is thought to be non-suspicious.
