BREAKING: BP has reported profits of £6.9 billion - their highest in 14 years - as millions struggle with the soaring cost of energy bills.

Households across Britain have been warned they could face an annual energy bill in excess of £3,600 this winter

It is the oil giant’s highest second-quarter profit in 14 years and follows a £5.11 billion profit in the first three months of 2022. The new prediction, from energy consultant Cornwall Insight, is hundreds of pounds higher than previous forecasts.
