The fire at Goosnargh Oliverson’s Church of England Primary School caused thousands of pounds worth of damage
A boy has been arrested over a fire at a primary school in Preston which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
Lancashire Constabulary were called to Goosnargh Oliverson’s Church of England Primary School in the early hours of Monday . It followed reports of a blaze on playground equipment at the school on Goosnargh Lane. Officers said a 13-year-old boy from Preston was later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage – arson not endangering life. He remains in custody for questioning.In a statement, Preston Police said: "We have a teenager in our custody after a fire on the grounds of a primary school in Preston in the early hours of yesterday which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
"A 13 year old boy from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage – arson not endangering life and is now being questioned."
