When the Covid-19 lockdown hit, Liam’s family worried about how they would raise the money, with events like the London Marathon cancelled. The once-distant target of £232,000 was reached in July 2020 after a flurry of attention on Twitter and a £2,000 boost from footballer Pepe Reina.
