The club has been left in ruin after being engulfed in flames
The beloved Claremont Bowling Club in Milngavie has been left in ruin after a huge fire engulfed the building yesterday.
Six fire appliances were needed to tame the blaze, with water even being drained from the nearby river to help the fight. Images from the scene show the venue burnt out, missing windows, doors and a roof. The club, which has been a pillar of the community for over 100 years, is now just a shell.
