Hundreds of spectators watched the historic football in the river fixture in Bourton-on-the-Water.

By Emma ElgeeCrowds of people gathered in Bourton-on-the-Water to watch a historic five-a-side river football match.

The event is said to have started about 120 years ago when drinkers in the riverside Kingsbridge pub got bored one day and decided to stage an impromptu match in the water. He said: "I've never scored a hat-trick before in this and two bullet headers and a volley and it couldn't get much better.
