SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford hit out at reports the former PM is eyeing a return after the humiliating exit of Liz Truss
A Boris Johnson comeback as Prime Minister would cause a “wave of revulsion” across Scotland, the SNP’s Westminster leader has said.
- If only one candidate receives this level of backing, he or she will become Tory leader and the next PM. “We’ve got a Conservative Government that is out of touch and, if I may say so, out of time,” he told BBC Radio Scotland on Friday. Blackford said it was in the national interest for the Tories to realise “that time is up” and call an election.
