This year's festival featured a 'record number'
Bosses at Bolton Food and Drink Festival have already begun teasing plans for next year’s festival following a successful bank holiday weekend event.
Festival veteran James Martin added: "This is my 14th year at the Bolton Food and Drink Festival. The marquee I was in was tiny, a couple of stalls and it’s morphed into what it’s morphed into. It’s massive now.” “This is the biggest event on the calendar for Bolton and the Food and Drink Festival is renowned in the UK. We’ve actually got other markets’ managers attending the site to look and see how it’s done.
He explained: “I remember the concept when we had 11 traders on Victoria Square and that’s how it started and it’s just grown in numbers year on year. I’ve worked on it for 16 now out of the 18.
