Pictures from the scene showed debris close to the crashed vehicle
Merseyside Police were called to Southport Road, at the junction of Breeze Hill in Bootle at around 12.15pm on Thursday, October 5. Once officers got to the scene, they found a black BMW had crashed into a metal barrier before coming to a stop on a grass embankment.
Pictures from the scene showed debris near the barrier, with the bumper of the car a short distance away. The driver of the BMW stopped at the scene and took himself to hospital following the crash.A spokesperson said: "It [the crash] was reported to us at around 12.15pm and occurred on Breeze Hill/Southport Road. The driver took himself to hospital but he isn’t thought to be seriously injured.
