Former Ajax and Manchester United defender Daley Blind has given his verdict on three players who also swapped the Johan Cruyff Arena for Old Trafford.
“He’s one of the great goalkeepers in the world," Blind told The Athletic. "He has a nonchalance, he’s complete and when he has his head right he can be one of the best goalkeepers. He’s a winner. Always wants to train more. I had a good relationship with him. Having spent four years at United under Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, Blind returned to Ajax in 2018 and it was there that he played under Ten Hag. Together, they won three Eredivisie titles in four seasons before the manager left for United.
