Blackpool Sport Centre shut after vandals cause 'considerable damage' during break in
The council run centre on West Park Drive was broken into on Sunday . It has been confirmed that the centre was broken into and vandalised last night.
Images of the centre show a bordered up window on one of the entrances. Earlier today the council tweeted out via the Active Blackpool's Twitter page: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Blackpool Sports Centre is closed until further notice." A Blackpool Council spokesperson said: "Unfortunately on Sunday evening Blackpool Sports Centre was broken into and vandalised. We are assessing the damage this morning and the police are carrying out their investigations.
