Blackburn Rovers Women face Birmingham City Women at Ewood Park to mark their first game of the new season
Blackburn Rovers Women will mark a new chapter for the club as they kickstart their season against Birmingham City Women.
It will be a game of firsts for Rovers. Their first official match after the summer rebrand from 'Ladies' to 'Women', as well as a debut for new first-team head coach Simon Parker. “It is a really exciting time to be at Blackburn Rovers Women,” Parker said ahead of the new campaign. “I want to help us progress to another level.
"It would be massive for us to start the season with a positive result, not only to set the mood but Birmingham City are one of the top teams in the division. We will approach this weekend’s game as we normally would but we know the challenge that is in front of us.”
