A third season may not be happening.
, Kravitz said:"I don't think it is. We talked about doing a season 3 a lot and, unfortunately, Jean-Marc Vallée, our incredible director, passed away this last year and I just can't imagine going on without him., co-star Reese Witherspoon stated that the cast were"always talking and texting" and that a third season was possible, but Vallée's death really hit them all hard.
"Jean-Marc Vallée’s passing was really hard on us. He was our collaborator. He was our friend," she said.
