As the evenings become darker this week now that the clocks have gone back, there is one thing guaranteed to bring some light into the darkness: Bonfire Night. Nothing beats watching colourful fireworks on a dark autumn night.
This year the majority of Greater Manchester councils have cancelled their public fireworks displays. But there are a few independent displays taking place this year, which are open to spectators.Lots people will be setting off their own fireworks in gardens across the city region as well.
Werneth Low, Tameside Probably one of the most popular hilltop locations in Greater Manchester, Werneth Low is located on the borders of Stockport and Tameside. The views from the summit are incredible and you can even see as far as Jodrell Bank in Cheshire.
