There was a full round of fixtures in the Premiership with a number of narrow wins
Stephen Baxter’s Crusaders last night nicked a vital three points against struggling Ballymena United with a 1-0 win at Seaview. But it wasn’t a game that will live long in the memory. The result means that the Sky Blues remain rooted at the foot of the Sports Direct Premiership table, having won only two of their 12 games so far.Ironically, it was United who had the first big chance of the game after only five minutes.
The Crues opened up the United defence for the first time 10 minutes from the break when Ross Clarke’s free kick from wide on the left found lanky Adam Lecky, whose header scraped past the post. But it took an own goal by the unfortunate Curtis Forsythe on 61 minutes to get the party started. Kirk Millar’s cross from the right was turned home by the young defender.
