Flights from Belfast International Airport and Belfast City Airport have been impacted by the UK-wide disruption
Belfast airports are facing a number of delays due to a "technical fault" throughout the UK's air traffic control system.
They did not provide any further details on what caused the technical fault or how long it would take to be fixed. UK airspace has not been closed, but the operator has had to apply traffic flow restrictions. Belfast City Airport has advised that the next live flight information for all departing flights from 1.40pm to 4.45pm can be expected on their website at 2pm, while some arriving flights have been delayed, such as the 2.40pm Aer Lingus flight from Newquay which is now due to arrive at 4.30pm.
At Belfast International Airport, the 12.25pm EasyJet departure to Manchester has been delayed to an estimated time of 4.05pm, while arriving flights from Newcastle, London Stansted, Manchester, London Luton, and Liverpool have all been delayed.
