RSPB Scotland applies for a licence to move the beavers from Tayside to a Loch Lomond nature reserve.
Under certain circumstances where beavers are causing significant damage, landowners can apply for a licence to kill them.In 2021, 84 beavers were killed under licence and 30 were translocated to different projects, according to RSPB Scotland.
It said a pair of beavers and their offspring would be live-trapped on a confidential site in Tayside, with the agreement of landowners.
