The famous snap appeared in the December 1963 issue of Vogue
Beatlemania hit the United States in early 1964, with millions flocking to see the Fab Four from Liverpool on their first visit to the states. However, it has since been revealed that this may not have happened if it were not for a picture taken of the Beatles during a concert in Northampton.
The young designer was hired by Alexander Liberman, the legendary editor of Vogue Magazine in the early 1960s, to work in the art department .Then, one day, his father sent him a picture of the Beatles, who had not yet made their name in America. The concert was the Beatles's fifth stop on their Autumn tour of England and Ireland. It would also be the band's last performance in the town.
