Strictly is celebrating 100 years of the BBC with a special themed week.
It follows the resignation of Liz Truss, who stood down as Prime Minister after just 44 days on Thursday, saying that she could no longer fulfil the mandate she promised to the country just last month.
Following Liz Truss' decision to resign, the Conservative Party will now choose another leader whilst The Mirror leads calls for a general election. Sir Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labour Party, has also called for a general election.Taking to Twitter, she confirmed she would be running: "I’ve been encouraged by support from colleagues who want a fresh start, a united party and leadership in the national interest.
The ex-PM's dad Stanley today predicted his son "will put his name forward", and added as a Tory member he will personally vote for him, as he told GB News that "he believes there are things to do still” and despite lucrative speaking offers. He also said "he’s ready to give those temptations up to endure the slings and arrows" of leadership.
