Part of the BBC'S Imagine... series, the documentary follows the successful writer and introduces audiences to the two art teachers who, according to him,"saved his life". It will feature prominent locations from the book, including the Sighthill estate, the Barrowlands market and the Grand Ole Opry.His second novel, Young Mungo, was released this year and tells a love story about two 16-year-old boys coming to terms with their queer identity in the sectarian Glasgow of the author’s youth.
