Concerned Barry Ferguson likes what he’s seen from Philippe Clement and Rangers so far, but is asking where the favours they need will come from with Celtic motoring.
But less than 24 hours later, Celtic produced arguably their best performance of the season so far, swatting Hearts aside with a 4-1 victory at Tynecastle. Ferguson sat down to watch hoping the Jambos could inject further life into a title race that was threatening to get away from the Gers, but it became apparent early on that Brendan Rodgers’ side weren’t going to be stopped.
“It’s a hard place to go, Tynecastle,” he told GO Radio. “But if I’m being honest after ten minutes, I knew there was absolutely no chance that Hearts were going to get back into it. So where are the favours going to come from?“But all Rangers can do is forget about what Celtic are doing. They need to really concentrate on number one and that’s themselves.”
“You could see what he's trying to put into this team and bear in mind he's only had the full squad for a couple of days. But you can already see a difference.
