Trophy tie with Carlisle United was suspended after a firework was hurled in the direction of visiting goalkeeper Michael Kelly.
Two minutes after the 7pm kick-off in the Cumbrian derby on Tuesday, a firework was thrown from the home fans at the Holker Street end.Referee Seb Stockbridge immediately halted play and took the players to the touchline. He was then deep in discussions with Barrow officials and the police, as two announcements were made over the PA system warning anyone caught with pyrotechnics was committing an offence.
After 15 minutes delay, a third announcement said the game could only resume once the Holker Street end had been cleared of the home fans.
