“We've had to tell some very sad stories. We're also telling some very good stories about successes we've had. “I don’t remember in 13 years [doing the weather] having to report on thunderstorm warnings so much [as] this year. “We do have blips along the way and not everything can be easily attributed to climate change but we do know there is a pattern and the importance is presenting that in a way we can all engage with.“We have to keep doing that because we are seeing a heatwave across the Meditteranean - 46 degrees - and people are jetting off to holidays.
