A massive well done to Jamie who completed the event in six hours and 13 minutes!
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED: Jamie ran, cycled and swam in the Ironman Swansea 70.3
The event, which took place on Sunday, July 16, saw participants complete a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and run a half marathon to finish. This is only the second time the event has taken place in the city of Swansea. Jamie said:"After seeing on the charity’s Facebook page that there were places available to raise money for the Air Ambulance, I knew that this was the best option. Being in West Wales, I often see how valuable the Welsh Air Ambulance is as we're a fair distance away from the major hospitals."
The 25-year-old set himself the target of raising £800 but managed to raise more than double the amount. He said:"With a good client base, I was confident that I could reach my initial target of £800 but have now passed the £2,000 mark.
