Barack Obama has paid tribute to his personal chef who drowned in a body of water near the family’s Massachusetts home.
Tafari Campbell, 45, drowned after the incident in Massachusetts on Monday, as officials recovered his body from Edgartown Great Pond, near the Obamas’ home on Martha’s Vineyard.
In a statement, the former president and his wife Michelle Obama said Mr Campbell was a ‘beloved part of our family’. Tafari Campbell can be seen preparing food while President Obama is being interviewed in the White House kitchen They added: ‘He’s been part of our lives ever since, and our hearts are broken that he’s gone,’ the Obamas said, adding that he was a ‘warm, fun and extraordinarily kind person’.
