The latest will be a casual fine dining restaurant

Bar owners who own two venues on Hockley's main thoroughfare are about to open a third - just next door. Cocktail bar 31K and breakfast bar Yolk are popular locations next door to each other in Goose Gate.

"Since this is so close we can dedicate all our attention to just this bit, keep this team together and spend time with the team that we have rather than trying to run two separate teams and try to recreate what we already have got. "Hopefully there's some changes coming up in the street where it will be more pedestrianised. It will feel really lively and bustling. Hockley is a great place. We love it, we've believed in it for years and I think this just makes sense to us in terms of an addition. We can run it well with what we have right next door."

Tables will be set out across two floors. It is hoped the restaurant will be open within six to eight months. Rory Calladine, who joined the business during during the pandemic after the first lockdown lifted, will be head chef.
