Alpine Club Lodge has a month to make improvements after having its licence suspended
A nightclub that lies close to the scene of a teenager's fatal stabbing has a month to save itself having been given a list of conditions it must meet in order to stay open.
The fatal injury was delivered outside on Railway Road, during an altercation between two groups at around 12.05am. However Lancashire Police said a fight "involving customers who re-entered the premises" kicked off in the bar after Matthew was taken to hospital. Police said they had submitted one application for a review in early July this year, following a serious street fight caught on CCTV in June. Then a second application was made in late July, following a more recent incident.
Past issues included activities during covid-era social distancing restrictions and building changes made inside, such as the creation of a dance floor, without notifying the authorities.
