The top 10 'worst behaved' fanbases in English football have been revealed, and seven Premier League teams make the list.
Travel to any ground in the English Football League and you are bound to hear a fair bit of 'effing and blinding', generally directed towards the referee.
For the majority of supporters, that's as bad as it gets, but there's always one, or in some cases a few, who take it too far. Using data including banning orders, football-related arrests and reported incidents, each club has been given an overall 'naughty' score. With 69 banning orders and 32 reported incidents during the 2022/23 season, and more reported incidents than any other club, it is no surprise they take the crown. The rest of the top 10 is made up of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Birmingham City, Arsenal and Leeds United.
The report adds that over 35% of arrests at stadiums are caused by public disorder, closely followed by violence and possession of Class A drugs.
