A baby hare has been found in a West Dunbartonshire bedroom after travelling 171 miles from England in a backpack

On discovery, the member of public contacted the Scottish SPCA who collected the wild hare and took him to their National Wildlife Rescue Centre in Fishcross, Alloa.Centre manager Chris Hogsden said: “It’s a bit of a mystery how this leveret ended up in the house. One of the residents had recently returned from Durham and we think the hare might have been hiding in their backpack unbeknownst to them.
