The firm's innovative strategies to recruit new care professionals- and meet the growing demand for home care- have been highlighted.

Home Instead South Ayrshire and Kilmarnock’s innovative strategies to recruit new care professionals and meet the growing demand for home care have been highlighted in the nominations.

Amidst pandemic-induced recruitment challenges, Home Instead took bold steps to address the shortage of care professionals. Suhail Rehman, owner of Home Instead South Ayrshire and Kilmarnock, said: “In response to the high demand in the social care sector, our team at Home Instead recognised the need for innovative recruitment strategies.

Over the past six months, an impressive 20 per cent of their newly recruited care staff were male, doubling from only 10 per cent in the six months prior. Fiona Lauder said: “I am delighted to be shortlisted for the Leader of the Year Award. Together we’ve achieved so much and I look forward to the future at Home Instead with our dedicated team.”
