The Cavens Arms, which is situated next to the River Nith as it flows through Dumfries, has been put up for sale as the current owners look to retire.

“We would like to thank our long-serving dedicated staff for their tremendous hard work and our loyal customers who have both made Cavens the success it is today. Tony Spence, an associate director with the firm who is handling the sale, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-performing bar and restaurant in the centre of Dumfries.
