Date published: Monday 24th April 2023 3:23 -Barcelona are reportedly interested in re-signing Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino also on Xavi’s shortlist.Brought in by his former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, the Gabonese striker’s reunion with the German was short-lived after he was sacked in September.
It has been a rough season for Aubameyang and a return to Barcelona has been rumoured for several months. Sky Sports News reckon the ex-Arsenal man is literally Barca’s priority. They state that Xavi is keen to bring him back and has made him their number-one No. 9 target this summer. Barca are also believed to be interested in Athletico Paranaense’s Vitor Roque and Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram.He is on the Catalan club’s shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window with Xavi seeking a back-up striker.The aforementioned Roque is believed to be Barca’s top target, but is expected to cost too much.
