There's more than just the illuminations on offer this autumn and winter
While most seaside resorts begin to wind down for the year in autumn, Blackpool shines even brighter thanks to the annual illuminations display. The six miles of lights shine late into the night every day of the week for four months.
Below we have rounded up a selection of the seaside town's attractions that open until at least 8pm on selected days, with some opening until as late as midnight. But you're best planning your trip soon, as some attractions will close to the public in November for the winter. Blackpool's South, Central and North Piers are great options for a stop-off as you make your way from Starr Gate to Bispham to enjoy the colourful tableaux and art deco illuminations.
Alongside the returning The Legend of the Cursed River Caves, The Lost and Freak House, there's a selection of fresh scare zones to get stuck into. From touring West End musicals such as Dirty Dancing to performances from top singers including Alfie Boe. Families can enjoy Peter Pan starring Boy George while comedy fans can book tickets for Jack Whitehall or Mrs Brown's Boys live.
