Arsenal were due to play Manchester City in the Premier League this week, but that match was postponed to accommodate today's rescheduled match against PSV.
The Gunners' clash with Pep Guardiola's side is hotly anticipated, with the two sides sitting atop the table, but no date has yet been announced for the fixture. Back in September, the Premier League said: “A new date for the Arsenal FC v Manchester City FC fixture will be announced in due course.” Arsenal said they were “working with the authorities to reschedule the Manchester City match”.
It is, however, unlikely that the game will take place before the Premier League breaks off for the World Cup on November 13. This is because, due to their Premier League and European commitments and the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, neither Arsenal nor City have a free weekend or midweek before the tournament.
