Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has been stabbed during a knife attack in a Milan supermarket that has reportedly killed another man.
The star, 29, was said to be among five people who were injured after the stabbing in a shopping centre around 6.30pm.the Spaniard had been shopping with his son when the knifeman struck. The paper reports that a 30-year-old member of staff at the Carrefour supermarket in the Milanofiori di Assago mall on the outskirts of Milan had died in the attack.
Mari who is currently on loan at Serie A side Monza, suffered a “fairly deep wound on his back, which fortunately did not touch vital organs such as the lungs or other,” the club’s chief executive Adriano Galliani said.
