Gabriel has been left on the Arsenal bench once againGabriel was a substitute for the Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest with many expecting him to come back into the side following the injury to Jurrien Timber.
But instead of the popular defender, it's Takehiro Tomiyasu who comes into the side and starts at left-back. This sees Ben White keep his spot at centre-back, with natural defensive midfielder Thomas Partey filling it at right-back yet again. Elsewhere, Aaron Ramsdale retains his spot between the sticks, with new signing David Raya made to settle for a spot on the bench after arriving from Brentford.
