Images from the scene in Manchester show the extent of the damage to the armed response vehicle, a BMW X5
Armed police officers in a liveried BMW were involved in a collision with a 4X4 on Saturday night as they responded to an incident on blue lights, its been revealed.Emergency services were called out to Hyde Road in Belle Vue, at its junction with Birch Street, at around 9.30pm on Saturday. A Renault 4X4 was the other vehicle involved.
A witness at the scene said: "Armed officers in a marked BMW X5 were involved in collision with another vehicle. The incident happened whilst the officers was responding to another incident. The photographs show the extent of the damage to the BMW, with serious damage to its front end. Two North West Ambulance Service ambulances attended the scene, with a section of the road later closed for recovery work.
