Emergency crews, including police and paramedics, were rushed to Ferry Road in Leith, Edinburgh, at around 8pm on Tuesday, August 22.The nature of the incident is currently unknown, however it is understood that the ordeal lasted several hours and that officers did not leave until 2.30am.

One eyewitness told Edinburgh Live: "Armed response, sort ambulance loads of police on Ferry Road outside gold sea chippy."The Record has approached Police Scotland for comment.
