An eyewitness described one of the victims having 'bandaged hands' after being badly hurt in the incident on Saturday.
A dog attack which left two women in hospital after an altercation between pets sparked a response from armed cops. A dog was seized after emergency services responded to the incident in Atherton, Greater Manchester, at 11.30am on Saturday.
Another eyewitness claimed on social media the breed of one of the dogs was an “XL bully”. They said the animal had been “seized but not yet put down”, reported the Manchester Evening News. Armed officers and specialists from GMP’s dog unit were deployed. In a statement, GMP said: “At around 11.30am this morning, officers were called to reports of a dog attacking another dog on a playing field near Leigh Road.
