The cyclist was left with serious injuries after colliding with a car
Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision that left a cyclist with serious injuries.
The accident happened on the A49 Preston Road in Chorley yesterday afternoon . Police were called to the scene where a cyclist was involved in a collision with a Ford Kuga. The cyclist, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The driver of the Ford was shocked by the incident, but was unhurt.LancsLive reported that the road was closed yesterday after the incident happened at Charnock Richard from Mill Lane junction to The Hinds Head Hotel on Chorley Lane.
Sgt Thomas Malley, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This collision has left a woman with some serious injuries and I would appeal for any witnesses or anyone with any dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage to get in touch.”
