Nottingham tram services will remain disrupted for another day after an overhead line was hit. The NET network confirmed that a lorry hit one of its overhead line poles near the Middle Street tram stop in Beeston on Monday .
Services between Cator Lane and the University of Nottingham were unable to run from the early morning as a result. Disruption continued into Monday evening and now, NET says disruption is set to last throughout Tuesday.A statement from the tram operator said: "Due to our overhead line near the Middle Street tram stop being damaged. We will have have no tram service between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane tomorrow.
Buses and East Midlands Railway Services are currently accepting NET tickets and passes. Lorries and buses were seen within a police cordon and engineers were called to the scene to inspect the damage on Monday morning. It comes just days after what was described as a 'significant' communications error brought the entire tram network to a standstill last Thursday, August 18.
