The Mr and Mrs Smith star said she was ‘honoured’ to meet some of the women who spoke in the Senate.
The athletes, including Simone Biles, Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney shared their stories amid the inspector general’s report on the FBI handling of the Larry Nassar investigation of sexual abuse.
Angelina said: ‘I was honored to meet with some of the brave US gymnasts who appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday. I’m in awe of their courage and commitment to preventing future failures to investigate abuse. ‘I was on Capitol Hill this week, engaging with Senators on the Violence Against Women Act reauthorisation and FBI reforms, including better protections for abused children, non-biased forensic evidence collection, trauma care, and judicial training.’
