Strictly star Amy Dowden has suffered a scary setback in her cancer treatment after she contracted Sepsis following her first round of chemotherapy, which could have been 'fatal'
Strictly star Amy Dowden has suffered a terrifying 'life-threatening' setback to her breast cancer treatment which left her needing care in an Intensive Care Unit.
Following her first round of chemotherapy, Amy noticed that she was getting a temperature of 37.5 and she started feeling sick, but she initially thought nothing of it. Straight after her first round of chemo, Amy commented on how good she was feeling as she gave Strictly bosses updates in heartfelt video messages.
Doctors latterly found that she had contracted the infection before going in for her chemotherapy but they are still none the wiser how or why she got the infection.
