📈 Paramedics have suffered a 32% rise in assaults over the past five years, according to NHS England
Body-worn cameras are being issued to ambulance staff three years earlier than planned after an increase in attacks.The cameras, which are being rolled out to all 10 ambulance trusts in England, can be switched on if patients or other members of the public become aggressive. It follows a successful trial of the equipment by paramedics and other frontline ambulance staff in London and the North-East.
