driver got into a spot of bother when his sat nav took him down a narrow street where he got stuck.
The driver of the 33-tonne lorry got wedged between two grade II listed buildings in the pretty seaside village of St Agnes, in Cornwall. The lorry has the recognisable logo on the side and travelled down the main road into the village before reaching the tricky point. A local said he had spoken to the driver who said he was following the supposed accurate instructions of the sat nav.
He said: ‘He wouldn’t reverse and kept driving forward. After about 25 minutes and multiple dents on the vehicle he managed to free the lorry. I hope he hasn’t damaged the grade II listed buildings in the village.’He joked: ‘The lovely driver blamed sat nav. Don’t Amazon sell proper sat navs for HGVs?’
