Funds raised from raffles on the night will go directly to the charity, which raises awareness of men’s mental health

An amateur theatre group will transport audiences back to the 80s with their fun and comedic performance.

Based on the hit 1998 film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore and featuring the iconic songs ‘Somebody Kill Me’ and ‘Grow Old With You’, ‘The Wedding Singer’ is full to the brim with laughs and 80s nostalgia. This year, X-RAYS Rossendale will be dedicating the Friday evening performance to local charity Jack’s Club, set up in memory of aspiring dancer Jack Milburn from Haslingden who sadly took his own life. The group say they would also love to see the audience donned in some 80s outfits on this night too.She said: “As the new Chair of the society, I couldn’t be prouder of every individual involved within the production of this epic musical.

“The cast are super talented and have been working extremely hard. I can’t wait to get into the theatre and entertain the audiences with high energy dance numbers, epic vocal performances and total 80s vibes all round. It’s a show not to missed!”
