Great news for households!
The support payment was originally due to be £100 when it was first announced in September and was only intended for home heating oil customers.
It is in addition to a separate previously announced £400 credit, the Energy Bills Support Payment, but it is also yet to be confirmed when this will arrive in accounts.The boosted oil support payment was announced on Thursday as part of the UK government's autumn statement, in which the Chancellor outlined tens of billions in tax rises and spending cuts.
