‘We needed you and you never came’ Alison Hammond was savaged by an 8-year-old amputee on This Morning after he accused her of failing to turn up to his charity fundraiser
While being interviewed on
, Tony, eight, told Alison, 48, how disappointed he was that she didn’t turn up at the Lake District to see his epic hike., which eventually led to him having his legs amputated after being admitted to hospital with multiple organ failures, fractures and sepsis when he was just one month old, trekked up Orrest Head., 38, with his adoptive parents Paula and Mark, when he voiced his frustration.
‘Next time I’m going to try my best to be there. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there. I am disappointed in myself,’ she added. ‘I’m sure everyone is disappointed I wasn’t there but you did it. You did it on everyone’s behalf and I’m so proud of you.’ At the end of the interview, Alison told Tony that the show was donating £500 to his fundraising pot and asked if she was forgiven.
