Aldi have submitted plans for their new Broomhouse store to Glasgow City Council.
The new development could create up to 35 jobs within the store, with additional employment during construction and within the supply chain. The proposed outlet at Boghall Road in Broomhouse will also include 95 parking spots, as well as four electric vehicle spaces.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “We are pleased to be bringing forward our proposals for a new store in Broomhouse. “An Aldi store would greatly benefit the area, bringing significant investment along with new jobs, whilst supporting other local businesses through the investment in the Scottish food and drink sector.
Baillieston Councillor Kevin Lalley pointed out the proposed construction site has been plagued with fly tipping and is “unsightly.”
