The Trussell Trust has issued an emergency appeal as it faces huge demand
TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Odudu returned to Blackburn to lend a helping hand at a food bank.
It is one of the busiest of the Trussell Trust's network of more than 1,300 centres and between April and September of this year, provided more than 10,500 food parcels to people experiencing hardship. That represents a 64% increase compared to the same period last year.AJ said: “My visit to Blackburn Foodbank was really eye-opening and made me realise the amount of work that is going on in the community to help people get through the cost of living emergency.
